Here it is, the end of August, and here
is me, posting the obligatory, look-at-me-I'm-back-at-school post.
One week late, because that's how I roll.
Last year, school and I did not have a
good relationship. My relationship with school was less a
relationship and more of an acquaintanceship—you know, the ones
where you barely know someone and you should like them because other
people do but you Just Don't. You spend time with them and make an
attempt at enjoying their company, because you can't seem to avoid
them and they force themselves on you, but you know that it's futile
and you don't know why you even try.
So that was my school year last year.
It was not fun. For more reasons than one. I don't like to dwell on
it.
But this year will be different. It'll
be so different that it will blow your socks off. This year I have
Lists and Schedules and Charts. I have Time Management Systems and
Disciplinary Strategies and all sorts of documents and pieces of
paper that will help me get things done. This year I will have
everything Done on Time and I will Make an Effort to Learn on My Own.
I will have projects and productive free-time learning and there will
never be a dull moment.
I see no possible way that any of this
could go wrong, whatsoever.
Happy studying, self.
